Christelle Noireau

Biography

Christelle Noireau is a French, Bolivian and Luxembourgish watercolor artist, born in Vincennes (France).

After having lived several years as a child in the Paris region, in the Republic of Congo and in Bolivia, she moved to Viña del Mar, Chile, for her university studies, where she met her husband and where their eldest son was born. They then returned to live in Bolivia, where their two daughters were born, then moved to Mexico in 2016.

Christelle's academic career (a degree in Commercial Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in History, as well as a double master’s degree in Management Science and in Human Resources and Change Management) shouldn't have destined her to paint as a professional activity, and even less with watercolor, a technique she found, mistakenly, cutesy and uninteresting, although she was passionate about drawing and painting from a very young age. However, after having had to stop her professional activity following a chronic illness, she rediscovered this medium and she fell in love with the work of watercolor artists, such as Joseph Zbukvic, Alvaro Castagnet, Pablo Rubén López Sanz, Andy Evansen, Daniel “Pito” Campos, Anna Ivanova and many more. She has since taken many courses to perfect her technique and why not, one day to be able to meet some of these artists and exhibit with them.
